One-Year Reflection

Today marks the one-year anniversary of my car detailing side hustle. I'm happy to report that I have broken even financially after everything, which went above expectations.

What started as an initiative for me to learn more about my hobby and get some exercise in over the weekend, turned into something so much more. What often started as a normal detailing job, would turn into a conversation with my client about ourselves and it's always a pleasure to follow up with repeat customers to see how everything has been going. As someone who is normally socially awkward, this has turned out to be the most enjoyable part of each job for me now.

I have also had the pleasure of learning from other business owners, retired professionals, and parents. Not necessarily about running a successful business, but just aspects of life in general, which has opened up my perspective on many topics.

To those who are on the fence about starting their little venture. I would strongly urge you to pursue it, it has been very rewarding and fulfilling in my experience so far and has taught me many useful skills without needing much monetary investment.

Thanks to everyone who gave me, the random guy on Nextdoor, a chance. Going into my second year, my goal is to continue learning and improving my craft. I look forward to helping out many more within the community :)
